Appointment of Executive Director

The Board of Bovis Homes Group PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr
Neil Cooper as Group Finance Director.

Neil, a qualified accountant aged 39, has considerable financial experience
having worked for Whitbread plc since 1998 in both group finance roles and as
Finance Director of the Premier Travel Inn and Pub Restaurants Divisions. Most
recently, he has fulfilled the role of Group Financial Controller for Whitbread.
Before working for Whitbread, Neil held positions with Reckitt and Colman plc
and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Neil will take up his position on 2 January 2007.

Neil does not hold any shares in Bovis Homes Group PLC.

There is no further information which would require disclosure under 9.6.13R of
the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.

Following the successful conclusion of this appointment, Mr David Ritchie, the
current Group Finance Director, will move, as previously announced, into the
newly created position of Group Managing Director on 2 January 2007.
