Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Bovis Homes Group PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of
Colin Holmes as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1
December 2006.

Colin is the Chief Executive of Tesco's UK convenience business, and led the
integration of T & S Stores. Colin has considerable retail / commercial
experience, and has a financial background having been Tesco's UK Finance
Director.

Bovis Homes Chairman Tim Melville-Ross said:

'I am delighted that Colin is joining Bovis Homes Group PLC as a non-executive
director and see this as an appointment which further strengthens the Board.'

Colin does not hold any shares in Bovis Homes Group PLC.
