SHAREHOLDINGS' announcement released today at 16:52 under RNS No 5396A, was
incorrect.

Bovis Homes Group PLC (the 'Company')

Amendment - Notification of Interest of Directors and
Connected Persons

Further to the announcement made earlier today, the
beneficiaries of the trust comprise all employees of the
group including the directors listed below. The announcement
should read as follows:

Bovis Homes Group PLC announces that, on 8 November 1999,
238,878  Ordinary Shares of 50p each in the Company  were
allotted  and  issued  to  Bovis  Homes  (QUEST)  Company
Limited,  as  trustee  of  the  Bovis  Homes  Group   PLC
Qualifying   Employee  Share  Ownership   Trust,   at   a
subscription price of 272.5 pence per share  pursuant  to
the Company's SAYE Share Option Scheme.

As  a result of the allotment and issue, P.D. Baker, J.E.
Ditheridge,  J.M.  Emery, M.R. Harris, B.M.  Johnson,  M.
Sharpe,  and  R.N.  Walford  all  collectively  have   an
interest  in the 238,878 Ordinary Shares of 50p  each  in
the  Company, as the beneficiaries of the trust  comprise
all employees of the group including these Directors.
