VODAFONE SETTLES FINAL TRANCHE OF 25% STAKE IN SWISSCOM MOBILE FOR CASH
Vodafone Group Plc ('Vodafone') announces today that it has satisfied its
obligation to Swisscom AG ('Swisscom') to pay the second and final tranche of
the consideration due in connection with its acquisition of a 25% stake in
Swisscom Mobile with a cash payment of approximately CHF 2.3 billion (£985
million). The agreement allowed Vodafone to choose to settle by either shares
or cash.
