VODAFONE AIRTOUCH LAUNCHES EURO 1.5 BILLION EUROBOND
Vodafone AirTouch Plc announces today the launch of a
Euro 1.5 billion Eurobond issue with a maturity of seven
years. Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank are the joint
lead managers for the issue. The funds will be used for
general corporate purposes including the repayment of
short term borrowings.
The bonds will have a spread in the area of 65 basis
points over the 6.25% April 2006 Bund and represent the
company's first issue under its Euro 5 billion Euro
Medium Term Note Programme which is rated A/A2 by
Standard & Poor's and Moody's respectively.
