   VODAFONE ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE FOR UK BUSINESSES

Vodafone  UK,  a  subsidiary of Vodafone  AirTouch  Plc,  announces
changes to the management structure of its UK businesses.  The  new
structure  will  be  organised on a functional basis  incorporating
Sales   &   Distribution,  Customer  Operations,  Commercial,   and
Networks,  along  with Finance, Human Resources and  Strategy.   It
replaces  a structure previously organised on separate company  and
business lines.

Peter  Bamford remains Chief Executive of Vodafone UK.    Reporting
to him will be:

David Jones, Managing Director, Sales & Distribution, who will  co-
ordinate  sales  strategy across all UK markets, including  retail,
indirect sales, including dealers and multiple distribution.

Ian  Gray,  Managing  Director, Customer Operations,  who  will  be
responsible for all customer care teams and call centre  operations
including Credit Management, Billing and IT related activities.

Paul   Donovan,  Managing  Director,  Commercial,  who  will   have
accountability for all marketing activities, product  and  service-
focussed  groups  including a new Multi-media  Business  Unit,  and
handset purchasing and logistics activities.

Mike  Pinches, Managing Director, Networks, who will be responsible
for   all  network  operations  including  data  and  paging,   and
technology strategy and development.

Andy  Halford,  Financial Director, who will head an integrated  UK
financial organisation.
                                                           
Pauline Best, Human Resources and Property Director whose team will
provide HR support to the whole UK organisation.

Tim  Harrabin, Strategy Director, who will also be responsible  for
Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance.

Commenting,  Peter Bamford said: 'This is a substantial  change  to
the  way we operate.  Our new structure will achieve a much greater
integration of activities and concentration of our skills. It  will
allow  us to re-focus our resources on the key priorities  for  the
future  as  we  seek  to realise the tremendous business  potential
presented to us as we move into the internet and multi-media age.'
