Trading Update at Annual General Meeting
Bill Goodall, Chairman of Volex Group p.l.c., the world's leading independent
manufacturer of electrical and electronic cable assemblies and electrical power
cords, will report at the Company's Annual General Meeting today that trading in
the first quarter of the current financial year has been satisfactory and in
line with the indications he gave in the 2002 Annual Report and Accounts. He
will remind shareholders that he had stated that overall the financial year
2002/03 was likely to see business volumes broadly in line with the previous
financial year with sales in the first half similar to those in the second half
of 2001/02 and an upturn towards the end of the financial year.
