                    Trading Update at Annual General Meeting

Dom Molloy, Chairman of Volex Group p.l.c., the international electrical and
electronic cable assemblies group, will report at the Company's Annual General
Meeting today that, in the brief period since Volex reported its Annual Results,
sales in the first quarter of the current financial year have been in line with
expectations. The improvement in the Company's markets, reported in the
Chairman's Statement on 2nd June 2004, has been maintained and the Board looks
forward to a year of progress.
