VOLEX GROUP plc - BOARD APPOINTMENT
Volex Group plc is pleased to report that with effect from 20th April 2005 Mr
Richard Arkle has joined the Board as a non-executive director. Mr. Arkle will
be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations Committees.
Mr. Arkle, aged 56, recently retired as a Partner of KPMG, where he played a key
role in developing the Transaction Services practice into a UK market leadership
position. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
and Wales and has extensive experience in assessing the strategic and financial
position of businesses and building value across a range of market sectors.
He was a Partner of KPMG UK (and predecessor practices) from 1st October 1982 to
his retirement on 30 September 2004. Save as set out in this announcement, there
is no information to be disclosed pursuant to paragraphs 6.F.2 (b) to (g) and
16.4 (a) of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority.
