                                 Board Changes


Volex Group p.l.c. the world's leading independent manufacturer of electrical
and electronic cable assemblies and electrical power cords, confirms the
following recent changes to its board of directors.


1)   Mr. R.H. Malthouse retired as a director with effect from the
     close of business of the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 22nd July
     2002.


2)   Mr. D.M.M. Beever was appointed a director with effect from 1 August 2002.


These changes in the composition of the Board were first announced in the
Chairman's Statement in the Company's 2002 Annual Report and Accounts mailed to
shareholders on 21 June 2002.
