BOARD CHANGES
Volex Group p.l.c. ('Volex'), the world's leading independent producer of
electronic cable assemblies and electrical power cords, announces the following
changes to its Board.
Mr. Ken Hooper aged 61 has indicated to the Board he wishes to retire at the end
of the financial year. Mr. Hooper has been a Director since 1983 and Group
Finance Director for the past 16 years. He will resign as a Director of the
Board with effect from 31 March 2003.
Mr. David Hudson, currently Deputy Director of Group Finance, will be appointed
a Board Director on 1st April and will replace Ken Hooper as Group Finance
Director at this time. Mr. Hudson, aged 40, has been with Volex for 13 years,
having been Group Financial Controller prior to his appointment as Deputy
Director of Group Finance.
Dom Molloy, Chairman, commented 'These changes in directorate, together with
those made earlier in this financial year, have been part of the Company's long
term succession planning. The Board would like to thank Ken Hooper for his
contribution to the development of Volex over many years and wishes him well in
his retirement. The appointment of David Hudson as Group Finance Director is
particularly pleasing and follows a full recruitment exercise. Mr. Hudson
brings with him a proven track record and his appointment will provide
continuity in the Company's development.'
