                                  Board Change

The Board of Volex Group plc today announces that John Corcoran, Group Chief
Executive, will leave the company on December 21st by mutual consent. John has
been with Volex for 5 years, and was appointed to the role of Chief Executive in
July 2002.

John Corcoran said:

'Having seen the Group through very difficult times, the successful equity
raising in June and the recent interim results provided an opportunity for me to
move to other challenges in my career and to handover to someone else for the
next phase of the Group's return to profitability and growth. I would like to
sincerely thank all the employees for their support through the years and wish
them well in their drive to re-position Volex as a global leader in the cable
assembly market.'

Martin May, Chairman of Volex Group plc commented:

'I would like to thank John for his contribution and commitment to the Company
over the last five years and wish him the very best for the future. In the
interim period I will assume responsibility as Executive Chairman. The Board
will make a further announcement as and when appropriate.'
