Termination of Offer Period


On 21 April 2008, W.H. Ireland announced that it had received an unsolicited
preliminary approach regarding a potential offer for the Company.

Following due consideration and consultation with its advisers, the Board of
W.H. Ireland has informed the potential offeror that it does not believe its
outline proposal to be in the best interests of shareholders.  As a result, the
Board of W.H. Ireland confirms it is no longer in an Offer Period.
