Proposed Dividend Timetable

Further to the announcement of its preliminary results for the year ended 31st
May 2006, W. H. Ireland is pleased to announce the timetable for the proposed
payment of the interim dividend of 1.4375p.

As previously announced, W.H. Ireland is once again offering shareholders a
scrip dividend alternative in respect of the interim dividend.

Expected Timetable of Events

Shares quoted 'ex dividend'                                    9th August
Record date                                                    11th August
Posting of forms of election to receive scrip dividend         18th August
Final date for receipt of forms of election                    12th September
Payment date                                                   28th September

It is anticipated that further details of the scrip dividend alternative will be
sent to shareholders in line with the timetable set out above.
