Walker, Crips, Weddle, Beck plc (WCWB), announces that with
effect from 31st March 2000, LARRY BYFORD will be retiring
as Chairman after 50 years service with the Company. The
Board wishes to acknowledge this great achievement and for
Larry's ceaseless energy and commitment to the business -
with his leadership the Company has made much progress and
is well positioned for the future.
To hold this important and central position as Non-Executive
Chairman, the Board of WCWB are pleased to announce the
appointment of MR. GRAHAM N. KENNEDY, CVO, with effect from
31st March 2000.
Mr Kennedy was previously a Council and Board Member of the
London Stock Exchange, having served as Chairman of many
different Committees, and has also held a number of senior
posts as Director within James Capel prior to his retirement
from that firm. His current Directorships include Ockham
Holdings plc, Charities Investment Managers Ltd (M&G
Charifund) and previously he was a Director of Wise Speke
plc.
