A total of 2,619,954 new shares issued in Wärtsilä Corporation's free
share issue have been entered in the Trade Register on 26 March 2008.
Shareholders have full rights to these new shares from the moment
they are registered. However, the new shares do not convey the right
to the dividend decided by the Annual General Meeting on 19 March
2008.
At the same time the combination of Wärtsilä Corporation's share
series has been recorded in the Trade Register.
As a result of the share issue the total number of Wärtsilä
Corporation's shares will increase to 98,589,515. The share issue
will not alter the company's share capital.
The new shares issued in the share issue shall be recorded in the
book-entry accounts of the shareholders entitled to the shares on the
basis of their registration and will become traded publicly as of 27
March 2008.
