Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange Plc for a total of 1,000,000 Ordinary shares of 12.5p each
('shares') to be admitted to the Official List.


It is expected that admission will be granted on 1 April 2005 and that trading
will commence 4 April 2005.


These shares are being reserved under a block listing and will be issued as a
result of the exercise of share awards pursuant to the following schemes:

Savings Related Share Option Scheme 1991                 300,000
Savings Related Share Option Scheme 2001                 200,000
Executive Share Option Scheme 1994                       500,000



When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary
shares.
