Weir appoints new Divisional Managing Directors

The Weir Group PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Jenkins as Divisional Managing Director of the Group's Minerals Division from 1 August 2012.

Dean is currently the Divisional Managing Director of the Group's Power & Industrial Division and is based in Scotland.

Dean, an Australian citizen, is a graduate aerospace engineer with extensive experience of engineering materials and logistics best practice, asset management, product development and business restructuring.  He has previously worked for Qantas Airlines and the Australian listed infrastructure services company UGL Ltd, most recently as Chief Executive of the latter's Rail Division.  

Kevin Spencer will succeed Dean Jenkins as Divisional Managing Director of Weir Power & Industrial Division with effect from 1 August 2012.

Kevin is currently European Regional Managing Director of the Group's Minerals Division and is based at Todmorden, Yorkshire.

Kevin is a graduate mechanical engineer who has worked in the mining industry for 17 years, before moving into the mining supply industry.  He held several senior positions with Joy Global and joined Weir Minerals Division in 2005 as Managing Director of Todmorden.
