The Weir Group PLC
Capital Markets Presentation
Weir is today hosting a seminar for analysts and investors to provide an
overview of the operations, markets and medium term outlook for its upstream oil
and gas equipment businesses. Â Steve Noon, Oil & Gas Divisional Managing
Director, will provide an overview of the division and the upstream oil and gas
markets, specifically the pressure pumping equipment market. Â The Weir SPM
management team will provide an overview of operations, noting the business'
market leadership position in one of the fastest growing upstream oil and gas
sectors, with growth in the installed base and increased operating intensities
driving further aftermarket opportunities and an accelerated original equipment
replacement cycle. Richard Spears, of leading oil and gas research consultancy
Spears and Associates Inc, will present his view on the outlook for the pressure
pumping market through 2015.
Keith Cochrane, Chief Executive, will conclude by highlighting the positive
fundamentals underpinning the medium term outlook for Weir's upstream
operations, noting strong current market conditions supported by further
increases in the US horizontal rig count in April and May. Â He will also
announce that plans are now being developed to further expand capacity to
support the ongoing growth of the business.
A webcast of the presentation will be available on the Group's website
(
