Announcement on agreement of missives
The Weir Group PLC ('Weir') announces that it has agreed a three year
lease with Clyde Union Ltd extending Clyde's current occupation of
Weir's investment property in Cathcart, Glasgow, at a market rent.
The previously-reported conditional agreement for the sale of this
site by Weir in 2009 at a price of not less than £25m has now lapsed,
although the contract with Clyde includes an option for Clyde to
purchase the site at a comparable price.
Meantime, Weir will continue to progress the detailed planning
application for residential development of the site.
