of its ordinary shares of 12.5p each on the London Stock Exchange via UBS
Investment Bank.

Number of ordinary shares purchased:  87,630

Average price paid per share:         300.9727p

Highest price paid:                   301p

Lowest price paid:                    300.5p


Weir intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the purchase of these shares, Weir holds 1,477,630 of its ordinary
shares in treasury and has 205,918,930 ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).
