of its ordinary shares of 12.5p each on the London Stock Exchange via UBS
Investment Bank.

Number of ordinary shares purchased:  85,000

Average price paid per share:         304.8529p

Highest price paid:                   305p

Lowest price paid:                    304.5p


Weir intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the purchase of these shares, Weir holds 1,562,630 of its ordinary
shares in treasury and has 205,833,930 ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).
