of its ordinary shares of 12.5p each on the London Stock Exchange via UBS
Investment Bank.

Number of ordinary shares purchased:  215,269

Average price paid per share:         322.9291p

Highest price paid:                   323p

Lowest price paid:                    322p

Weir intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the purchase of these shares, Weir holds 2,364,966 of its ordinary
shares in treasury and has 205,032,033 ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).
