of its ordinary shares of 12.5p each on the London Stock Exchange via UBS
Investment Bank.

Number of ordinary shares purchased:  200,000

Average price paid per share:         325.581p

Highest price paid:                   326p

Lowest price paid:                    325p

Weir intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the purchase of these shares, Weir holds 2,564,966 of its ordinary
shares in treasury and has 204,898,341 ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).
