Transfer of Treasury Shares

The Weir Group PLC ("the Company") announces that on 2 April 2012, 18,798 ordinary shares of 12.5p each, held as treasury shares were transferred to a participant to satisfy an award granted in 2009 under the Group Long Term Incentive Plan.

Following the above transfer, the Company now holds 1,202,421 ordinary shares in treasury and has 212,395,040 ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares).
