Non-Executive Director Appointment
Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster', the 'Group' or the 'Company'), the AIM listed supplier of managed security services and technology based security solutions to governments and government agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGO's) and blue chip commercial organisations worldwide is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr James Sutcliffe as a Non-Executive Director as from 1 December 2016.
James Stocks Sutcliffe, aged 63, is an experienced international business executive and company director. He has been a Director of various London Listed companies for more than 20 years and will be joining the Remuneration and Audit Committees.
James has considerable experience delivering major international projects particularly in the infrastructure, ports and marine sector which will be a valued resource for the Company. He is a former Chairman of UKTI. (Ports & Marine 2006-2013) promoting UK business in Emerging Markets in the Far East, India, Eastern Europe and Mediterranean countries.
Commenting on James' appointment, Westminster's Chairman, Sir Malcolm Ross, said:

Highlights of James's Career include:
• Chair/CEO Managed the first privatisation of a Municipal port in the UK at Boston in 1990. Reversed into a Plc in 1996.
• Director/MD designate, led a £475 million buyout of PD Ports, Tees and Hartlepool in 2003, floated the company on AIM and subsequently the full List in 2005. PD Ports is the second largest port in the UK employing 1600 people and handling 50M tons of cargo p.a. Bought by Babcock & Brown for a 50% premium to listed price in 2006.
• CEO. Founded, financed and developed Poland's largest container terminal, DCT Gdansk SA (500,000 Teu/ €200M investment 50/50 debt and equity) from a beach to a fully operational terminal in 22 months (2005-2007). The terminal now handles 1 million Teu annually and has been expanded by its owners to 3M Teu capacity.
• Appointed Chairman of UKTI (Ports and Marine sector), London representing the ports and maritime UK industry internationally (2006-2013) Worked with senior UK and international Ministers, VVIPS and major companies developing overseas business opportunities and managing VIP inward missions to the UK.
• CEO. Established Port Evolution Management Ltd (Port Evo) in 2007 to acquire, develop and manage ports and source investment for major port and infrastructure projects.
• Non-Executive Director of Aim Listed Skil Ports developing a $170M green field port near Mumbai, India. 2010 to date. Audit Com/ Remco.
