Westminster Group Plc:
East Africa Airport Project Update
Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster' or the 'Group'), the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, is pleased to provide an update on the East African airport project, for which heads of terms were signed in November 2012.
Representatives of Westminster, including CEO, Peter Fowler, have recently held meetings and discussions with the country's Vice President and various other Ministers involved with the East African airport project and further meetings are now being organised to progress matters.
Commenting on the project opportunity, Peter Fowler, Chief Executive of Westminster Group, said:
"The East African airport project has taken longer than anticipated to finalise due to the government's internal processes and not due to any complication with our negotiations. The project remains very much an active opportunity within our growing pipeline of potential managed services projects.
"The timescales involved in negotiating projects differ in each case and are not necessarily indicative of other contractual discussions we are involved in. I look forward to providing further project updates at the earliest opportunity."
