The Company was informed that yesterday John Hutson, Chief Executive of JD Wetherspoon plc, sold 2,500 of the company's ordinary shares at a price of 733.0 pence per share.

Mr Hutson's holding is now 73,315 ordinary shares in the Company, less than 0.1% of the issued share capital.
