JD Wetherspoon plc ('the Company')
Mr John Hutson, Managing Director of JD Wetherspoon plc, exercised 50,000
options to subscribe for ordinary shares at 78.4p per share and immediately sold
4,500 of the Company's ordinary shares at 276p per share on 20 October 2003.
Mr Hutson also transferred 24,500 ordinary shares to his wife Mrs N Hutson who
immediately sold 24,500 shares at 276p per share on this date.
Mr Hutson is retaining 21,000 shares from the exercise, taking his interest in
the company to 78,812 ordinary shares.
In addition Mrs Suzanne Baker, a board director, sold 7,400 ordinary shares at
276p per share on 20 October 2003, bringing her shareholding to 16,919 ordinary
shares.
