                               Notice of results

On 20 January 2004, JD Wetherspoon PLC (the 'Company') announced that the
interim results for the 6 months to the end of January 2004 would be released on
5 March 2004.  Due to an unforeseen licensing hearing commitment, which will
involve senior management, the Company has decided to bring its interim results
date forward to 3 March 2004.  The interim results are expected to be in line
with current market expectations.
