End of Year Trading Update
JD Wetherspoon plc today announces an end of year trading update.
Following the third quarter trading statement issued on the 2 May 2003,
like-for-like sales for the 11 weeks to 13 July increased by 3.5%.
Like-for-likes for the 50 weeks to the 13 July increased by 4.1%.
We anticipate that we will have opened a total of 45 pubs in the year to 27

The preliminary results for the year ending 27 July, which are expected to be
approximately in line with expectations, will be released on 5 September 2003.
