Transaction in own shares

Pursuant to the authority given to the Company by shareholders, the Company announces that it purchased on the 10^th March 2016 ordinary shares of 2p each as follows:

Date of purchase: 10^th March 2016

Number of ordinary shares purchased were: 70,500

The highest price paid was 700.00 pence per share and the lowest 695.00 pence per share.

The purchase represented an average price of 696.86 pence per share. The purchased shares were cancelled and following which the number of voting rights on the 10^th March 2016, in JD Wetherspoon plc was 118,239,587.

The total number of voting rights in JD Wetherspoon plc at today's date, 5^th April 2016, is 116,668,087.
