WH Smith PLC (the "Company") announces that Robert Moorhead (PDMR) transferred a certificated holding of 7,027 Ordinary shares of 22⁶/₆₇ pence each in the Company to his nominee account with Wealth Nominees Limited for nil consideration.  The PDMR then transferred the 7,027 shares to a nominee account in the name of his spouse, Mrs Erica Lucy Moorhead (PCA), also held with Wealth Nominees Limited.  Following the transfer, the aggregate shareholding of Robert Moorhead and persons closely associated with him remains unchanged.

The notification set out below is provided in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
