Pursuant to the Whitbread PLC Savings Related Share Option Scheme, 1991 and 2001
Save As You Earn Schemes, 1991 Executive Share Option Scheme, 1995 Approved and
Unapproved Share Option Scheme and the 2001 Approved and Unapproved Share Option
Scheme, options over 800,000 ordinary shares of 50p each have been exercised.
Accordingly, application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the
London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to the Official List.
These shares rank pari passu with the existing issued shares of the company.
