Whitbread 2001 Savings Related Share Option Scheme


Whitbread PLC announces that on 3 December 2002 a grant of options was made to
employees under the above scheme at an option price of 441.2p per share. The
following executive directors were granted options under the scheme at 441.2p
per share as set out below:
