NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CHANGE
Whitbread today announced that Rod Kent will be stepping down from the Board as
a non executive director on 31st March 2008 following his appointment as
Chairman of the BT Pension Scheme Trustees Ltd. Rod was appointed to the
Whitbread Board in 2002 and has been the Senior Independent Director since 2003.
He has also been a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration
Committees. Rod will remain as Chairman of Whitbread Pension Trustees Limited,
a position he has held throughout his time on the Board.
Anthony Habgood, Whitbread's Chairman said, 'Rod has made a huge contribution to
the Board during a period of great change. I would like to thank him for his
strong support and advice over many years and for agreeing to continue as the
Chairman of our pension trustee company where he has and will continue to play
an invaluable role.'
