WHITBREAD APPOINTS NEW NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Whitbread PLC announces that it has appointed Margaret Ewing as a Non Executive
Director. She will join the Whitbread PLC Board at the beginning of July 2005.
Margaret Ewing (50) is Chief Financial Officer for BAA plc where she has been
for 3 years. Prior to joining BAA plc she spent 2 years as Group Finance
Director for Trinity Mirror PLC and between 1987 and 1999 was a corporate
finance partner at Deloitte & Touche.
Sir John Banham, Whitbread's current Chairman said: 'Tony Habgood and I are
delighted that Margaret will be joining our Board. She is very well respected
by the finance and investor community and will undoubtedly make a valuable
contribution to Whitbread.'
