GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR STARTING DATE

Following the announcement of 4^th September 2012 concerning Nicholas Cadbury's appointment as Group Finance Director, Whitbread PLC today announces that Nicholas will become a member of the Board and join the Company in that role on 14^th November 2012.
