WHITBREAD SHARE PURCHASE

Andy Harrison, who will be Chief Executive Designate of Whitbread PLC when he joins the Company in September 2010, purchased 81,550 ordinary Whitbread shares on 23 June 2010.  Andy now holds 132,234 Whitbread shares.
