Transaction in Own Shares

The Company has today purchased for cancellation 170,578,711 deferred shares of
1 penny each for a total consideration of 1 penny pursuant to Article 4A(I)(vi)
of its Articles of Association and the authority granted at its Extraordinary
General Meeting held on 18 December 2006.  The deferred shares were created by
the return of cash carried out by means of a bonus issue of B Shares in June
2006.
