TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SECURITIES

Whitbread PLC ("Whitbread") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 76 122/153 pence each on the London Stock Exchange and Multilateral Trading Facilities from Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc. Such purchase was effected pursuant to instructions issued by Whitbread on 25 April 2023, as announced on 25 April 2023:

Number of ordinary shares purchased:	59,153
Highest price paid per share:	3,292.00p
Lowest price paid per share:	3,251.00p
Volume weighted average price paid per share:	3,274.28p

Whitbread intends to cancel the purchased shares.

Since 25 April 2023, Whitbread has purchased 1,563,304 shares at a cost of £50,817,621.18.                                                                                                                 

Following settlement of the above transaction, Whitbread will hold 12,454,718 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 212,999,368 ordinary shares in issue.
