WILMINGTON GROUP PLC
BOARD CHANGES
Wilmington Group plc ('Wilmington' or 'the Group'), the information and training
group, announces the appointment of David Summers as Chairman of the Group with
effect from 18th January 2005.
David Summers has been a Non-Executive Director of Wilmington since 19 January
2001. He was formerly a Director of Reed Elsevier (UK) Limited. He is currently
a member of the Competition Appeal Tribunal Panel and a Justice of the Peace for
the Kent Commission.
David will succeed Bernard Jolles, who has resigned from the Board after three
and a half years as a Non-Executive Director, including two years as Chairman.
During his chairmanship, the Group established its successful strategy of
focusing on key market sectors and undertook a significant reorganisation of its
activities.
In due course, the Board intends to appoint a further Non-Executive Director who
will be expected to chair the Group's Audit Committee.
Charles Brady, Chief Executive, Wilmington Group plc, commented: 'Bernard has
made a major contribution to the Group over the years and we wish him well for
the future. David has a great deal of valuable experience and we are delighted
that he has agreed to step up to be Chairman.'
