Appointment of Auditors
Following the conclusion of a formal competitive tender process, the Board is pleased to propose the appointment of BDO LLP ("BDO") as its external auditor to take effect from the financial year commencing 1 April 2020. BDO will conduct the audit of the Company's financial statements for the financial year ending 31 March 2021. The appointment is subject to approval by shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company, to be held on 25 June 2020.
KPMG LLP ("KPMG") will continue in its role as external auditor to Wincanton for the current financial year ending 31 March 2020.
Further disclosure on the formal competitive tender process conducted by the Audit Committee will be set out in Wincanton's 2020 Annual Report.
Paul Dean, Chair of Wincanton's Audit Committee, said: "We would like to thank KPMG for their many years of service as Wincanton's auditor. Subject to shareholder approval at the 2020 AGM, we look forward to working with BDO in the future."
