Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Wincanton plc, the largest British third-party logistics company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Mihiri Jayaweera as a Non-Executive Director of the Group with effect from 7 April 2020. Ms Jayaweera will also be appointed a member of the Company's Audit and Nomination Committees.
Ms Jayaweera was, until October 2019, Group Head of Strategy and a member of the Group Executive Committee of TP ICAP Group, the FTSE 250 professional intermediaries firm, operating in financial, energy and commodities markets internationally.
Ms Jayaweera was previously a consultant at Trivedi Capital, a private equity investment advisory firm based in London. Between 1993 and 2009, she held positions at Nomura International, Lehman Brothers and UBS Investment Bank.

Ms Jayaweera does not currently hold any Wincanton plc shares and no further information in connection with her appointment is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
