WINCANTON PLC ("Wincanton")



In compliance with LR 9.6.14R  Wincanton hereby notifies that  Philip
Cox, Senior Independent  non-executive Director and  Chairman of  the
Remuneration  Committee,  has  been  appointed  as  a   non-executive
Director of Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc (MRW).  He will take up this
position on 1 April 2009.
