Wincanton plc (the 'Company')

In fulfilment of an obligation imposed by DTR 3.1, the Company announces the
following details relating to grants/awards made under the terms of the
Wincanton plc Deferred Annual Bonus Scheme ("DABS"); and the Wincanton plc
Approved Executive Share Option Scheme ("ESOS").

1.Date of grant:
18 June 2010

2.Period during which the options/conditional share awards are exercisable:
      DABS - 50% of the Deferred Shares vest on 18 June 2011, with the remaining
50% vesting on 18 June 2012.
      ESOS - Approved options vest on 18 June 2013.

3.Total amount paid (if any) for grant/award:
      Nil.

4.Description of shares involved:
      The grants were made over Ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company.

5.Exercise price:
      DABS - Deferred Shares have been granted as nil cost options other than in
France where they have been granted as nil cost conditional shares.
      ESOS - Option price of £2.25, representing the average closing MMQ of the
Company on the three business days immediately preceding the date of grant.
