DECEMBER 2023 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS
WIZZ AIR CARRIED 5.0 MILLION PASSENGERS, AN INCREASE OF 19% YEAR-ON-YEAR

Geneva, 3 January 2024: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), the fastest growing and one of the most sustainable European airlines, today announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for December 2023.
In December 2023, Wizz Air carried 4,964,857 passengers, representing an 18.8% increase compared to December 2022, at a load factor of 82.1%.
On 3rd January 2024, Wizz Air was awarded the World's Top 10 Safest Low-Cost Airline Award by AirlineRatings.com.
The airline continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in December. During the month:
· Wizz Air Abu-Dhabi celebrated a record-breaking calendar year in 2023, doubling the number of flights to 15,000 and carrying more than three million passengers. The current fleet of 12 aircraft in Abu-Dhabi flies to 40 destinations in 27 countries.
· Wizz Air delivered its 4th aircraft to the Kutaisi base in Georgia and launched a new route to Copenhagen, consolidating our position as the largest operating airline out of Kutaisi.
· Wizz Air announced further investment in Poland with the addition of a 12th aircraft to its Warsaw Chopin base, reinforcing its leading position among low-cost airlines. In the same month, Wizz Air celebrated our 100 millionth passenger in Poland, underscoring our longstanding commitment to the Polish market.
· Wizz Air continues to consistently report the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger/km among competitor airlines, with 51.5 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 31 December 2023. For the month of December, CO2 emissions were 55.9 grams per passenger/km (1.1% higher than the same month last year).
