JULY 2022 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS

WIZZ AIR CARRIED 4.76 MILLION PASSENGERS, AN INCREASE OF 61% YEAR-ON-YEAR

Geneva, 2 August 2022: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), the fastest-growing and one of the most sustainable European airline s , today announces passenger and CO₂ emission statistics for July 2022.

In July 2022, Wizz Air carried 4,760,725 passengers, representing a 61.1% increase compared to July 2021, at a load factor of 89.7%.

Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in July, including:

· Wizz Air announce d   launching of new routes from Abu Dhabi to the island of the Maldives and to Kuwait. The new routes will see Wizz Air Abu Dhabi fly to a total of 34 destinations within a five-hour flight time radius, since the airline launched in January 2021.

· Wizz Air also announced routes from Romania, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Lithuania and Italy,  adding to its winter 2022 schedule (October 2022 - March 2023) . Additionally, it launched several new year-round and winter-only routes from London Luton and Gatwick , also from October 2022 .

· Wizz Air continuously operates amongst the lowest CO₂ emissions per passenger/km amongst all competitor airlines, with 58.6 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 31 July 2022. For the month of July, CO₂ emissions in grams per passenger/km were 15.8% lower compared to same month last year, as we witness an improvement in load factors over same time.
