JUNE 2024 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS

WIZZ AIR CARRIED 5.3 MILLION PASSENGERS

Ticker:  WIZZ

Geneva, 2 July 2024: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), one of the most sustainable European airlines, announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for June 2024.

Capacity operated during the month was up 0.4% yoy, given the continuing impact of GTF engine-related groundings and June's load factor was down 0.6ppts yoy (at 91.7%) on passenger numbers of 5.3 million, with this reflecting a focus on overall revenue management.

For Q1 F25, seat capacity was up 0.7% yoy to 16.86 million, while passenger numbers were up 0.5% yoy to 15.35 million.

During the month:

-    While remaining one of the leading airlines in terms of lower emissions per passenger kilometer, the month of June saw a 4.2% increase yoy in CO2/RPK to 53.6 grams. This reflected the retention of older planes and the wet lease of smaller gauge aircraft to maintain Wizz's network footprint while aircraft are grounded due to GTF engine inspections.

-      Wizz's total fleet count was 218 aircraft on 30 June 2024, up from 208 at the end of March.

-    Airbus updated the market on its revised manufacturing output on 25 June 2024. While the airline's long-term growth plan remains unchanged, Wizz anticipates that this could impact the scheduled fleet program in the coming years, as previously indicated.
