MAY 2022 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS
WIZZ AIR CARRIED 4.12 MILLION PASSENGERS, AN INCREASE OF 390% YEAR-ON-YEAR

Geneva, 6 June 2022: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), the fastest-growing and one of the most sustainable European airline s , today announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for May 2022.
In May 2022, Wizz Air carried 4,117,271 passengers, representing a 390% increase compared to May 2021, at a load factor of 84.2%.
Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in May, including:
· Wizz Air announce d it s intention to file an application for its Maltese subsidiary to be granted an Air Operator's Certificate with EASA and an Operating Licence with Malta Civil Aviation Directorate. The successful establishment of Wizz Air Malta will help reinforce its strong position and support its expansion plans in Europe .
· Wizz Air also announced its potential expansion in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It signed a m emorandum of u nderstanding with the Ministry of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the cooperation is to explore country's airline market development opportunities .
· Wizz Air further announced that the airline , in partnership with several not-for-profit organizations, will be offering further 10,000 free tickets for Ukrainian refugees to travel from Ukraine's neighbouring countries to the UK .
· Wizz Air continuously operates amongst the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger/km amongst all competitor airlines, with 60.7 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 31 May 2022. For the month of May, CO2 emissions in grams per passenger/km were 20.2% lower compared to same month last year, as we witness an improvement in load factors over same time.
· On 3 June 2022, Wizz Air announced it will cancel all Wizz UK flying from its Doncaster Sheffield Airport base from 10 June 2022. Pilots and cabin crew have been offered the opportunity to fly out of another base in the UK.
